Pastor of Care Ministry

Our Savior Lutheran is happy to welcome Rev. Bruce Frederickson as our new part-time Pastor of Care Ministry. While Pastor Bruce will not officially hold office hours at the church, he will assist our congregation in the following areas:

Visit members/friends of the church in hospitals; the handicapped, elderly, grieving, or those troubled.
Regularly serve communion to the sick, hospitalized and homebound.
Provide follow-up calls on anniversaries of the death of loved ones and home visits to recovering hospital patients.
Assist in worship and preach. Occasionally teach during the Sunday morning adult education hour.
Work with members of OSL to help carry out the care ministry of our church.

Pastor Bruce currently serves as Executive Director of Lutheran Counseling Center in the Twin Cities metro area. He retired a year ago after serving Messiah Lutheran Church in Mounds View, Minnesota, since 1983, and has been a pastor in the LCMS since 1972. Most recently he completed a term as Interim Pastor at SonRise Lutheran Church in Avon, MN. He and his wife, Ann, have three married children and seven grandchildren, who all live nearby.
