Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML)
Lutheran Women in Mission (LWM)
In the time-honored tradition of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) doing business as Lutheran Women in Mission, is an outreach to ALL women. We seek to develop and maintain a greater mission consciousness among women of the LCMS through education, inspiration, and service.
- Inspire and equip women to share their faith in Jesus Christ, their loving Savior
- Be enriched through Bible study and fellowship
- Minister to others using our God-given talents inside and outside of our Church community
Mites and Missions
Our major emphasis continues to be the support of mission and ministry throughout the world by means of Mite Box offerings. These Mite Box offerings have funded tens of millions of dollars in national and district mission grants since the organization’s inception in 1942.
Based on the Biblical account of the widow’s mite, the Mite Box is intended for regular contributions of mite offerings above and beyond the support given to our congregation. Mite Box contributions as well as our yearly fundraisers fund our mission grants and implement our programs world-wide. Local grant recipients include Bibles for the 3rd graders in Sunday School, Feed my Starving Children, Kenya Children’s Fund, and more.
All women are welcome to attend one, two, or all of the events. We hope you’ll come…and bring a friend!
