Special Congregational Meeting @ Fellowship Hall
Jan 6 @ 9:30 am – 9:45 am

Join us for a brief Congregational Meeting on Sunday, January 6 about 9:30am in the Fellowship Hall. We will formally present and review a change being requested by the District’s Constitution Committee to our Constitution and Bylaws. To follow the amendment process in our Constitution, this change must be submitted to the Congregation for review in advance of the regular congregational meeting that has been moved to February 10 when it will be voted on.

The District has asked that we add the following underlined language to Article 4A:

“Article 4A: BAPTIZED MEMBERS

Baptized members are all who have been baptized in the name of the Triune God and who are under the spiritual care of the pastor(s) of this congregation, including the children who have not yet been confirmed, and who are not members of any secret or other organization conflicting with the Word of God, such as anti-Christian lodges.

After more than a year and a half of work on this matter and many rounds of edits and input from the District, it is our hope that this is the last change needed so the congregation can formally approval all the proposed changes to our governing documents. If you have any questions about these governing documents or the process we’ve gone through to bring them in line with the District’s guidelines and expectations, contact VP of the Board, Bentley Graves, at bentleyfgraves@gmail.com.
